The world always looks a little different in shades of gray - or of sepia, or of platinum, or of ...

Post a monochrome or two, taken any time, with any camera, of any subject, processed any way you like. Please post your pictures as a response to this opening message.

Feel free to comment - or not - on any of the posts. If you don't want to comment but like a photo just give it a "thumbs up".

How does the world look to you?

Taken while returning to Marrakesh from the mountainous region to the south ...

Now that is either a very heavy breakfast of a very soft bed! Nice tones and textures. Very nice furniture there also. I want that four poster bed!

Very nice composition that tells a story (about water!). Good processing decisions, like the delicate touch with that.

I took this shot on Saturday afternoon at the Carlsbad beach with my Olympus E3 and my 50 prime attached to it.

I'm not too happy on my black-and-white conversion I was expecting something else. Maybe I'll work on it later throughout the week.

Thanks

Beautiful image, so different from the usual BIF. Thank you!

Random clicks taken with E-1 + 14-54mm Mk1. Converted to B&W in picasa.

Still getting the hang of BW. Quite enjoy it however.

Very nice image with a fitting conversion that suits the subject matter. Love the graffiti/mural and the character on the left. The walking cyclist is cool too.

Love the real, oldstyle rendering..looks like it came right out of my dads overseas slides from the 50's

Top shot!

Now this one pops. Very nice contrast and composition. I'd love to see the color version just for the fun of it.

Very nice, I particularly like the pano, looks like an interesting place to visit. What was the focal length for the pano? It didn't come through in the EXIF. Is this the east or west coast of SA?

Regards, Conrad
