I just opened a new XZ-2 that I purchased for a friend.
I found a cap separately wrapped in the box which I assumed was "extra" until I took the camera out of the black bag.
My surprise was discovering that the lens was exposed - no protection. Maybe a stupid question, but Is this normal? I've never received a new camera without some kind of cap or protection for the glass.
I'm assuming no plastic cover on the LCD is normal, although I thought my other Olympus cameras included LCD covers.
My concern here is that the box itself had some dust on it which I removed before opening it. - It wasn't a lot of dust, except there was a bit of dust inside the box. I can't figure out how that could happen either!
Thanks for clarification
