Do some research: there are many more options than you think, of varying prices and qualities, AF and MF. Not talking about legacy glass, just ones that attach without adapters (except maybe the T mount ones which come with the adapters).

Prices are all current US estimates. Some variance for some brands that don't enforce MRP or that are available on eBay.

All are currently available or scheduled (except I included the rumored Sony G). The 16mm Rokinon f2.0 looks promising! If you know of others, I'll add them.

I also posted a new blog about switching from Canon DSLRs to NEX.

This is extremely useful. Thanks for posting the link. For extra credit, rewrite it as a Google Doc spreadsheet so we electronically figure out how to drain our wallet;)

I'm hoping the lack of first party lenses is due to them concentrating on FF NEX

Great list. looks like E mount is here to stay.

Let's see how long it takes for someone to complain that the list lacks quality.

I have it in the "one true format" (i.e., Excel) :). Haven't figured a way to post it on Zenfolio.

The lack of first party lenses is due to lack of time. Sony is making 4 or 5 lenses each year. So there is not a problem producing it.There is a problem that years don't got as fast as we want them to, or that we don't have a time machine to look fort them in the future.

You can always complain that the lens you want is not in the ones they choose to make. I would like to see a new roadmap for the next 2 years, to have an idea of what is coming.

First party lenses is not a problem for the customer. If I can buy a very good lens from Sigma and I enjoy it, I cannot care less if it is not Sony branded...

Once Sony will have a high quality zoom I'm sure that most of the users will suddenly find the lineup complete (and, to me, it might even come from Sigma, it'd be fine). Ok, some others might hope for a 85mm, but it will probably arrive later on...

This is one seriously good list. thank you for putting it together!

My pleasure. Feeds into my lens addiction ;)

Wow thank you so much for this list. Very useful information. I fainted when looked at manual lens for merely ... ~$20,000. CRAZY!!!

You left out the Holga lenses!

.

Rokinon makes an E-mount super zoom? I did not know that. Also, what does T stand for?

Any chance you could/should add a column about whether the lens has stabilization?
The comments column has OSS for stabilization. Only Sony lenses have it (so far).

Sorry, didn't see it. How about support for PDAF? Not all Sony lens support it.

costs less than $450 and NOT a 24mm lens from Zeiss which costs more than $1000.

Also a high quality zoom lens in the range 18-55mm similar in quality compared to Pany/Lumix 14-45mm selling for less than $450. Nex kit lens is no way close to the Pany lens which costs less than $350 in as an individual item.

These items are readily available in the m4/3 range of cameras. They are priced in an affordable range.

Jeff, love the effort, well done.

Those that like to complain will always find another adjective, such as faster, smaller, cheaper.

I do think that, including a G zoom and the E85, a lot of bases are covered. Some choices are pricey though.

Happy shooting!
