What problem are you trying to solve by getting rid of a camera? It seems the issue is with the lenses, or lack of, and not the camera bodies. Why not focus on getting lenses that fill your needs as opposed to deciding which sensor size fits the lenses you have/want? I have fast primes and find the D300/D700 combo works well, depending on what I am shooting.
