random shots, a couple that have been on the back burner so to speak. I have probably a hundred or so what I think will decent keepers with a bit of pp.

I have gotten better at ditching pics and wasting less time on 'okay' stuff.. life is too short to spend 30 minutes on a unremarkable picture.

thanks for looking cc,brian

Nice pictures Brian :-) I like nos. 2,5,9 and 10 most of all. I always look for your posts with the A55 in the forum and enjoy the ones you took with the beercan. I have both and I use my gear primarily for family gatherings. I have yet to learn how to upload my pictures for C & C here in Dpreview. Keep up the good work. :-)

the ones listed as a 'bc' are actually taken with a tokina 100-300f4 my editor marks it as such unfortunately.

when you upload to galleries do you 'select all' or select before hitting start upload? if you have then maybe its in your browser/internet settings..such as allow third party ext. ect or something like it. thank you and I hope to see some of your images, brian

You make me envious that you can get dragonflies long enough to get a shot.

Like the one of the squirrel, most unusual pose.

And great chaser.

CC
here its fairly easy to get dragonflies photographed. the big challenge(which I am working on) is to get them in flight. maybe here in the us the dragonflies are a bit more relaxed fed on a steady diet of American junkfood?

the black squirrels are really neat, this was a younger one and since I was quite still or slow in my movements he wasn't too threatened by me. it was the closet I have been to one.

thank you cc,...brian

great pictures as always. Thanks for sharing!

did you shoot raw or jpegs? colors are just excellent.

I noticed some strange blur around helicopter and I'm just curious what caused that.

I have shot raw a few times and honestly haven't found it worth the time/size investment. that may have to do with the j-peg engine, the use of lowest iso possible or both.

many times I set contrast to minus 1 in the summer light . it works nicely for bifs and never flattens the image too much as to not add contrast atf if wanted. to me it doesn't 'take away iq like dro seems too...maybe its me though with dro.

I usually add +1 saturation and set white balance 'by eye' and conditions. with the fn button its so easy and fast to do before shooting it became second nature quickly.

capture all is right about the heat exhaust blur. thank you, brian
