That little guy let me get to the closest focusing point on macro mode... Not the prettiest setting, but hey, take what you're given, right?

Yes, handheld. The second one, I was leaning against the wall. I ended up stroking its wings a couple of time before it took off. Pretty cool moment.

I went as close as the camera would go before refusing to focus. Probably 8cm or so.
