Hi All,

I am a recent X100s convert & wanted to share a few images taken with it over the last few days. I didn't think Landscapes would be too well suited to the little Fuji, but I think it stood up pretty well!

It's a great, versatile tool.

Cheers,

Lee

Thanks John!

The panorama was done in camera using the dedicated mode. It did a great job, looking at full res, I cannot see any join lines or other issues.

Cheers,

Lee

Could I ask why you are stopping down so much? Seems as though you are getting into the area where diffraction would rob you of just a bit of sharpness. Just looking at the photos, I can't tell why you wouldn't be shooting at f/5.6 or f/8. Just wondering.

Thanks.

I would be very surprised if you were not getting some diffraction effects at F14. If you want to check this shoot the same scene at different FL's & look at 100% to see the differences which should be very apparent.

I do appreciate that DOF can be an issue even in landscapes if there are some significant objects near the camera but the use of small apertures goes way back to the use of larger negative cameras which could happily uses such apertures.

That's a really nice set Lee, loving the b&w shots.....what pp have you used ?

Lee, disregard all the pixel-peeper trolls talking about diffraction. These are beautiful, and if you're happy with them, that's all that matters.
