Most of the Pentax's are "PK" mount.

I just happen to have one for sale.

Actually alot of the older vintage/legacy Takumars are M37 and then later M42 screw mounts...just an FYI.

All Super Takumar lenses from 1960 to 75 were M42 thread, anything over 1975 was K-Mount bayonet. M37 thread was used only on early Asahiflex cameras [copy of 1939 Practica?]. The likelihood of buying the Pentax lens with M37 is minimal.

You can buy either the M42 and K-Mount adapters for NEX at $30.00 each. Most are now made in brass, where the cheaper stuff costing $15.00 would be made of aluminium with chrome plated brass lens flange.

I have a question about Lens Turbo PK version.

How does it work with modern Pentax lenses ? Do they have manual aperture ? (Older have, but the new ones I am not sure about)

I would like to have Samyang/ Rokinon 85, 1.4 Pentax lens. Would be the aperture working ?

Thank you.

Peter

I use 2 legacy Pentax lenses.

The Asahi Auper Takumar 55mm f1.8 Zerba M42 from the 60s and a Pentax SMC 50mm f1.7 from probably the 80s.

I've been using the Asahi a lot lately. Here it is mounted on the 5n. Crummy iPhone pic.

Great lens! And apparently, the glass is radioactive.

Re: Lens Turbo PK-NEX adapter turns the FF Pentax 50mm F1.4 into a 36mm F1.0

ebay says it is $299/ quite expensive for an adapter

Simple as any other legacy lens.

First set the camera to "Release lens." Attach adapter like any lens and attach lens to the front.

Sorry I don't have any pics of this particular setup as the lens was no good.

If all you want is a standard NEX adapter they are under $20 on ebay. This adapter has a focal reducer built in and cost under $200 on ebay. Go price the Metabones NEX Speedbooster if you think $200 is too much.

I just received the adapter and have not tried it with my 85mm F1.4 Rokinon but there should be no problem using it at any aperture just like on my NEX-VG900 with PK-NEX adapter.

recd the PK adapter and set to "Release w/o lens"

This is DA 50-2000 new lens and not legacy

1) should nt I get choice of AF? it gave me only MF

2) couldn't adjust F stop in aperture or manual mode.

I coudnt find manual online. is there some where instructions or manual?

Ya, without a physical F adjustment there is no adjustment in the camera.
