Reservoir Dog (PIC)

Looks like another fuji focus problem...
I'm not so sure it's a focus issue (that's the sound of a can 'o worms being opened...). What shutter speed did you use and was the lens wide open? The dog's paws and shoulder look pretty sharp to me, even though his muzzle isn't quite in focus. At 300mm, with the lens wide open, you're not going to have a whole lot of depth of field.

Nice, Martin! I think I like the last shot of the officer the best. Haunting eyes and I like how you can just make out the butt of the gun at his hip.

At first I shot JPEG because I was naive and wanted quantity over quality.
Then I shot RAW, because I was still naive but wanted quality over
quantity. Now I've gone back to JPEG because I'm no longer naive, and I
want both quantity and quality.

hello,
really was no problem of my S2 neither my cheap 70-300 G

Certainly I shot at 1/350 f5,6 handheld and I was focussed at the body part because the dog was resting giving his back to me. I shot one of his neck and he inmediately turned back and I shot without a new focusing, I prefered the imperfection of the opportunity on this,
The focus are very very very fine with my S2,
thanks

wonderful page you posted
12 images that really give me a feel for your hometown
I think I liked this one the best

the pursed lips of the woman in the car & the pattern the soap bubbles make on her face are wonderful captures that are fascinating revelations of a moment and at the same time telling commentary on social circumstances
outstanding photography, my friend!

That's pretty much what I expected the case to be. At 300mm, at 5.6, you're not going to have a lot of DoF.

I absolutely agree. The shot is very powerful and you didn't have a whole lot of time to get it. Personally, I can easily overlook minor technical flaws in an image that moves me. Very nice capture.
