Great to have camera I can always carry in my pocket...you never know who your gonna run into...driving home from work today on the thruway I saw this guy dressed like Jesus hanging from a cross and just had to stop and see what was going on...turns out it's a guy from a local church who hangs here on the side of the thruway once in a while to get his message of salvation across....figured it was a pretty cool photo op...

I'm really digging this little camera, I have an Oly E-10, C-2100 and C3000 but wanted something small to carry in my pocket, I love the LCD cause with the anti reflective coating I can use it outdoors in bright sunlight easily, my C3000 (that I'm selling to help pay for the S400) had a LCD that was useless outdoors without rigging and carrying a sunshade and was not small enough to carry in my pocket...

This camera even without aperture and shutter speed controls more than met my expectations...I feel the image quality is fantastic...

Here's some assorted photos mostly macros I've taken since I bought the camera Saturday...

.......... a better photographer....

poor crop....(funnier if the whole picture, plus a sense of the
freeway couda been captured!) My opinion!!
Maybe he was trying to call Sandy to remind her to be a bit gentler
on the forums.
Of course, then I too need to take that adive lest my phone ring.
Sorry Sandy .
No problem dave....I just calls them as I sees them. I think a budding photograper will benefit more from an honest opinion than from candy coated praise! I've been taking pictures a very long time, so If I can't be honest, who can? What do you think Mofongo??

Thanks for the support Dave...every forum has one of those types...

I never claimed it was a masterpiece or great work....just a quick humorous snap...

Maybe when God was handing out senses of humor and manners Sandy was busy giving her "opinion" to others...Oh well, we are all works in progress...

If I post something for critique and not just for a laugh I don't mind constructive criticism but there is a way to say things...

Anyhow, I love this S400...too much fun which is what it should be about...

Thanks for your critique of my critique Mofongo. Honestly, if It had been funny...I'da said so.

You could have done some much more. I hope, at the very least, I made you think.

Yes, there is one of me on every forum...be pretty boring stuff if there wasn't!

Keep snapping....and keep posting here. I look forward to your progress!

Sandy,

I wish I would have read your post before I replied to Dave...oops! I'm sure you meant to help and I agree about honest opinions vs candy coated praise...

I wish I could have backed up more to get the whole person in the frame but there was this big hill behind me with junk in it...also he was facing the freeway so could not have included it for context...it was just a quick snap for giggles...I know I'm capable of better if you browse my Pbase site...

Anyhow, thanks for the comments and sorry if I "talked behind your back" to Dave...

--No, actually...there are several of you on every forum. You're a dime a dozen.

...and yes, the same with my kind. However, I learned long ago at the tender age of about three that I was not the greatest person in the world. Anything that I've since found that I'm better at than another, well...let's just say I tend to keep my critical opinions a bit more humble than you.

I look forward to your progress.

For sure.

Wouldn't hold my breath on that one. Some people find the activity of demeaning other people more fun and easier than showing something creative themselves.

Mofongo ! Fine set of macro-mode flower shots there.
