But I struggle myself to avoid this "issue": Lines in the background going "through" the head of the subject. If there are numerous lines it is a non-issue, but with 1 line my opinion is to avoid it. Unless the line it is there for some deliberate effect in the photo of course. I personally have become aware of this and I try to avoid it in my photos. Additionally bright areas in a photograph tend to attract attention, so I would darken the nice wall a bit compared to the model. Alternatively I would attempt a high-key effect with very little contrast in the model and background, so she blends into the background. I find that difficult and only succeeded once

Since she does not seem to have flaws on her skin, try to use some percentage of blue channel in your conversion - this should darken the carf... have fun!
