So, I've installed SilkyPix SE to process RAW files from an LX7 then saw this offer for SilkyPix Pro 5 for Panasonic:

http://www2.isl.co.jp/SILKYPIX/english/campaign/forpana/

Any reason to upgrade or will I introduce needless complications? My needs are pretty simple, just wanting a clean conversion with typical adjustments: contrast, WB, etc. Occasionally will use HDR. Is the 64 bit support a noticeable improvement (I process on a Windows 8 machine)?

Thanks in advance.

You can try it for free...but the offer ends at the end of April.

I don't know anybody who's tried both and decided to stay with SE.

That's exactly the sort of response I was looking for; short and to the point. I'm not going to have a chance to experiment much between now and April 30, which is why I was looking for this sort of advice before the offer expired. Perfect, and thanks.
