Two of the supplied power plugs for the battery charger - Which one for USA?
Two of the supplied power plugs for the battery charger - Which one for USA?

The Leica X2 comes with a plastic bag full of various battery charger power plug adapters to accomodate a number of countries.

There are two that look like they are for the USA, but I do not know the difference between them. They both fit the standard outlet. One has a hole in each blade and the other does not. Is one more approprate than the other?

Thanks.

The one on the right.

I can't tell by the pic ... But does the one on the left have one blade slightly wider than the other?

Thanks for the reply.

Both blades for the plug shown on the left side of the photo are the same width. I can see where the reflections on the blade make the blade in the rear appear more narrow. Actually the blades on both plugs are all the same width.

I did notice that the blades with the holes (on the right) are slightly longer than the blades on the left plug.

fter doing some more Google searching, I read that some outlets in the USA have dimples in the slots to match with holes in the blades. That is consistent with your conclusion that the plug on the right is the correct choice for me. That still leaves me wondering what the plug on the left is for?

Makes me wonder too.

Lately some of the plugs have one wider blade as the outlets are polarized. That's why I asked.
