Hi all, been away a while, new job and that...hope everyone's well.
These were taken at a fishery I was contemplating joining. Shafts of brilliant sunshine lighting up small areas of the lake like a giant spotlight, all set against a backdrop of granite skies full of snow clouds. Moments later the snow hit.

I'm doing a POTD project this year, mainly to push myself to keep putting "film through the camera". Here's a handful of shots from March. Mostly indoors (crappy March weather), and generally trying to play around with different lighting, from natural to iPad to your basic tungsten. First four images shot wide open.

Props to the E-M5, this was shot at ISO 6400:
My middle daughter...from Pandora
One thing I love about m4/3 primes: great low-light capability, subject isolation, yet enough DOF to keep my daughter's head in focus.
Getting comfortable with the 17/1.8
Did I mention I LOVE the 75/1.8...shot at f/2.8

45mm @ f/2.0 iso 200 1/400s +1 esp.
The 45mm f/1.8 is a wonderful portrait lens with avaiable light.
