Three weekends and about a thousand shots have convinced me that this is indeed a spectacular camera. Ease of use, exceptional battery life, awesome features (especially the rotating and easy to view LCD) and solid construction add up to a real winner in my mind. I am particularly fond of the sepia and black and white creative images. Color output from this camera is superb! Finally, a camera which captures those deep blue skies here in Arizona. The JPEG compression routine for images less than RAW seems better than in the S100, rendering smaller file sizes. Indoor daylight shots without flash are incredible. The zoom is quiet but a bit slow. Menus are easy to navigate and easy to remember.

Problems:

I've already scratched the gray plastic on the back near the LCD (seems like a great place for a rubber grip), I keep forgetting to take off the lens cap when powering up and the two piece battery charging equipment is kind of a pain in the kazoo after the S100's brilliant "plug-into-the-wall" design. I wish the G2 employed the same type charging equipment. Not a problem, but my big fat thumb print keeps appearing on the LED readout on the top of the camera.
