My current PDR is actually a replacement for one that fried itself just sitting on a shelf without being used for 1 month. While I agree with all other reviews that image quality is excellent as is camera size, feel, etc, see my problems below.
Problems:
Battery usage is awful. I wrote an email to the company and they responded to use either rechargeables or Energizer e2 Titaniums. Using the e2's allowed me to take pictures, but the battery life was very poor.
A camera with fresh batteries and only 13 pictures taken would not even turn on after sitting for a week. The battery drain seems to continue though the camera is not on.
Another odd problem relates to power usage as well. On more than one occassion when I notice the batteries have died after the camera has sat for a period of time, the camera would not work at all when fresh batteries were put in. Most recently this happened at New Years. The batteries had died and the camera wouldn't work with the new batteries that I had just put in, so I left the camera at home while I was away for a week. When I got home I decided to take a chance and try the same batteries again and the camera worked.
With all this frustration and a lack of adequate information from the retail store, I don't think I would buy this camera again. I would definitely research battery usage on the next camera that I buy, which might be very soon.
