One years use and minor annoyances but otherwise good experience. This was brought with intention to photograph landscapes and the images are decent. I'm still on a learning curve as to the ways and means of digital photographs and admit that I haven't fully used all the features. Using the cannon photo paper pro and s800 printer the printed image is very good. However good it is digital imaging from this camera still doesn't provide the clearity and depth of color that I've been accustomed to with 35 slr. I'm very pleased with the point and shoot capability and find it useful for those instances when getting out a bulky slr is a pain. Perhaps the next generation megapixtels will produce the detail in landscape photography that equal slide film.
A comment to Canon would be to package the camera in abou a 25% smaller body would make it more easy to carry around. Minor point, but this is a point and shot type of unit.

Problems:

Minor- Cold weather shortens battery life - especially leaving it in the car when temps are less than 32 F. Annoying.
The lens hesitates from coming out of nest at times. Requires turn on / off or a gentle tug on the barrel.
The photo editor software is not user friendly. Should have been simpler and more intuitive. In fact due to the array of features you have to commit time to learn or bring the manual with you.
Occasional misfire of the flash - cold temps have been culpert- as it happen only once.
Photoshop LE is very complicated program. Be ready to go back to school.
Overall a good unit that is feature laden and requires user effort to appreciate all of its capabilities.
