The camera is everything the Canon "1" series should be. Image quality does not seem much better than my D30. Menus are not very intuitive and require some thought after putting down my D30. The camera is heavy! The battery is a Joke. To pay $6,000 and have a battery that has a memory so that I have to discharge it before recharging is unacceptable. For that price you'd think you'd either get a backup or a better battery system

Problems:

Canon's terminollogy for their image download software is confusing. To call it a "Twain Driver" instead of something like "Image Download and Managment" software makes no sense to me. Having to run Adobe or some other program to get to the program you want is also needlessly confusing and complex. I have yet to be able to process any images in the "Twain Driver" software, as all of the buttons are "greyed" and therefore unusable.
