Being that this camera is one of the cheapest 3.2MP cams out (for the moment), I was afraid that this one might be featureless and more of just a point and shoot type. I was very happy to find a descent level of features including some manual control of your photographs. The images this cam produces are very nice in my opinion, besides some grainyness if the lighting isn't right. I think this cam is very worth the $350 I paid. Hopefully I'll get 2-3 years out of it.

One thing I am not happy with though is the battery life. You may get 2 hours on a set if you don't use the flash or the screen. I dislike the fact that there is no sound on movies, but I doubt I will use movies for anything anyways. It wasn't worth another $50 just for sound.

I almost bought a Canon A40, which did do sound, but was only 2MP. I've read about problems with blurryness on the A40, so I stuck with Sony since I am familiar with the cameras they make.

I also feel that the P71 and its counterparts have a very nice navigation and menu system.

Problems:

None yet.

* Get more batteries, and definately buy another memory stick. 16MB won't cut it.
