This is a very slick camera. It's one of those things where you can just picture engineers sitting around the table saying, "what else can we put in this thing?" The display is great - very clear and bright. The sliding lens is fast. The size is amazing. It is the perfect travel camera when you can't - or don't want to - take anything bigger. Just make sure you buy a nice big SD/MMC card for it. The onboard memory is not enough.
There are some issues with this camera though. Image quality is good, but not great. I have to do some more playing with the settings, but it seems to really favor the flash. In cases where you turn the flash off, look out for blurred pictures. I have a larger Sony 3MP camera, and the pictures come out better than with the Pentax.
Problems:
The battery door is flimsy. However, if it were ever to break, the battery is snap-in so you wouldn't lose it and could still use the camera. Video recording could be better too.
