Got this camera from Sg Wang Plaza, Kuala Lumpur for RM 1,150 (about USD 303). Got 4x GP NiMH battery and charger for RM 80.00 (not a good deal) from the same shop. Lesson learnt is don't buy extra stuff from the same shop. Got additional Kingston 20X 256 MB CF card for RM 210 in Low Yat Plaza.
1. Easy to use.
2. Good quality picture.
3. Rich functionality.
4. Strong power (4 batteries vs 2 used by Nikon Coolpix 3100).
Problems:
1. Tiny scratch on LCD glass, did not notice until home.
2. Battery compactment not tight and frequently got message to change battery and auto shut down.
3. Horizontal lines when zooming after 3X, shopkeeper said it was due to digital zoom.
4. Some funny vertical pink lines when take picture under broad sunshine.
Don't expect this sort of quality from Canon, this is my 2nd Canon camera. Probably due to the fact that this camera is produced in Malaysia.
