I have had the G3 for a couple month now and I love it. 140mm zoom lens is a difinite plus over the 100mm of the G2 and many of the other cameras in this range. I shoot a lot of theater stuff and f2.0 lens is nice. The thumb wheel seems to work a lot better than the toggle switch Canon uses on the S45, S50. I use the G3 with a Metz CT45 and get some great photos. 4MP is nice but I would like to see a G3 type camera in 5MP+ sometime soon
Problems:
The paralax between the viewfinder and the lens takes a little getting use to, especially when framing is critical! Plus as most have mentioned before the lens cutting off 1/4 to 1/3 of the view in the viewfinder at wide angle is just plain poor design!
