In my opinion, the best camera you can get for about US$300. Big and clear LCD screen, brilliantly clear pictures for a camera of this price, relatively easy to use and peanuts to learn all its functions and features. Perfect for beginners to fresh novices. A zippy fun-to-use snap-and-go camera.
Problems:
As mentioned by another user, the worst thing about this camera is they way it manages battery power. I use Sony 1800mAh NiMH batteries. After only about 20-30 pictures, the 'low-batt' indicator comes on. This doesn't mean that it's gonna die on you soon but it irritates you. I can continue to take at least 30 pictures before the camera shuts down automatically. Even so, turn off the camera and wait for some time, and the camera is good for another 10-15 pictures. This process can go on for a while until the battery is near fully discharged. Hence, you never really know when the battery is absolutely un-usable. I expected better from Olympus. Oh yes, this camera is made in Indonesia. Not an excuse for such a problem though.
