Unbelieveable! I quickly outgrew my first digital (Olmypus C-50) and I did kind of want to stick with a pocket point and shoot, although a high mega-pixel model (I print my own photos). So, I was originally looking at the C-60. The more I looked, the more in a camera I wanted. I wanted to become a more serious amateur photographer.
I looked to the C-8080 and I haven't looked back. I'm a frugal shopper, so yes, I compared the other cameras in this category and have friends with a few of them. They were amazed when they got their hands on my C-8080. Felt sturdy in their hands and for those that know what they're doing, the learning curve, albeit a high one, goes by very quickly.
I haven't even needed to use any of the manual settings and have just left the dial on the P-setting and my pictures look FANTASTIC! I've owned for only 2 weeks, and last Sunday alone, I took over 550 pictures at Disney. I'm making sure to get my usage out of this as it's capable of so much.
BTW, that was all shot on just the original battery. I never even saw the battery meter decrease and I downloaded all of the pictures on the same charge. Never made it to my backup.
I guarantee, you will NOT be disappointed with this camera.
Problems:
Only some minor ones. Yes, it's very difficult to get the compact flash card out. My biggest complaint here. Low light focus does take a bit, but well worth the effort.
To me, the only other issue I have is buying more accessories is killing my budget!
