This is my third Panasonic camera and I bought it primarily as a back-up. But, when a cable came loose in my FZ-20, I was sure glad I had it. It really is designed as a simple point-and-shoot. In this area, it excels. There are really no manual controls so scene modes can definitely help in specific situations where straight auto isn't sufficient.
For someone looking for a nice 4MP camera with auto controls, this is very nice, especially at the $269 price.
Very sturdy. I've dropped it a couple of times and just a few scratches. Works perfectly. Great build quality.
