Not bad camera for first time owners of digital cameras.
This model served me well for over 1 and a half years until I recently sold it to a friend and bought a new Casio EX-Z110.
Average rating outdoor shots. The settings are almost all automatic except for the exposure compensation. This is good for those who would want to just point it then shoot it.
The video, though small sized, is fast and smooth.
I used this camera during my mountainbiking adventures and one time splashed this camera with lots of rain water. Luckily, the camera still worked fine. So I may rate this model 5/5 in terms of water resistance..;-)
Good, solid feel in my hands. Just the right size and weight. This helped much in eliminating hand jittering while taking pics.
Problems:
Slow start-up time and long shot to shot interval time. MIssed a lot of great moments due to this time lag.
Very small LCD screen and can be easily washed out by bright sunlight. NOt very good for reviewing shots.
Not good for low light conditions without using flash.
Unrealistic colors especially at low light.
The digital zoom is quite useless. It will be much better to take a 2MP shot then crop it in the computer.
Another problem, though this may be isolated. My SD card often got corrupted for reasons I can't explain whenever it's inserted in this camera. This did not happen to my card when inserted in other devices.
