Mini-review:
I use this camera at work almost daily and I own the A620. Here is my take:
It has fast overall performance.
Has a G-lens w/ 4x zoom.
Relatively fast at telephoto for a camera in this class (f4.1).
Solidly built, feels good in your hand with very good ergonomics and weight distribution.
Has a grid line screen (user selectable) to keep horizons straight and even (very handy).
It shoots in burst mode at 2.4 fps, whereas the A620 shoots at 1.9 fps.
It truly shoots macro shots as close as 1 cm, just like the A620.
Perhaps most importantly it takes great photos.
A620 shots are posted on my photoblog with pics from other cameras. (pinholemedia dot com)
This camera, other than resolution, color, and (better) burst mode, is exactly the same as the A620. If you need the additional 2.1 megapixels and the benefits that come with them, spend the extra 80-100 dollars and get it - otherwise, the A610 is amazing.
I highly recommend this camera.
Problems:
None.
