I should say this camera is quite simple to use and takes some crisp photographs. I
have used the camera for several weeks now, and I do enjoy it. Very little noise at
high ISO.... movie mode is insain and really brings out some interesting options
interms of lighting, zoom, large format and editing...yes, you can edit video that
you take with your camera on the camera. Also, you can buy lens for this camera--
so that does help boost the value of the camera as well.Since posting this review sD
memory producers SanDisk and several others have released a 4 GB chip and in the
next few months will release a 8-10 GB chip for all sD cameras. This camera will
certianly benifit from the larger memory capacity.

Problems:

1. My major issue with this camera are the batteries. This camera should have been
built with a rechargeable battery pack like the EOS350. It is complete nonsense to
be using 4AA batteries in a day and age where we have Lithium Ion cells. To make
things worse Canon does not even supply a wall-to-camera power supply- you have
to buy that seperately, another $$. At least Canon gives you some batteries to start
with.

2. A camera that has such a good CCD should also be capable of RAW image
processing. But this camera does not have the capability for this, which I really find
perplexing. It isn't horrenous... just odd. The JPEG images make up for its lack of
RAW image capability.

3. There is no mode that will allow you to take close up shots - 10cm/less.
