Its an okay camera, thought it is going out of style as the Canon trumps it with newer and better sensors.
The flash system completely destroys canons. But as for the sensor and ease of use. About the same. I do admit though, the Nikon has a lot more features, even than the 30d. Controls are better placed and the viewfinder has all you need in it. Canon can't come close to readablity, but I hate the quality of this camera. Nothing but problems with it.
Problems:
I loved this camera to peices till about a week ago. It simply refused to focus at wide angle and the fine focus of the camera has become a huge problem. I have sent it into Nikon to have it repaired and they have not done anything about it. I am considering switching to the Canon 30d and thus end the headache of:
First camera died within four days
Repair job of 4 weeks
Terrible focus lock.
I just don't want to deal with subpar quality anymore. All my canon friends have had nothing wrong with it.
