Excellent image quality shooting RAW. I use this camera in RAW capture 100% of the time and have no issue with resulting files through ISO 800.
I use the supplied Silkypix RAW converter and have worked out parameter settings from ISO 100-800 and apply them to each image as a starting point, making adjustments as needed.
Just about any manual option you could name for a camera, the LX2 has it. The user control options on a camera this size is quite impressive...nothing probably any other compact can match or exceed.
I love the separate lens cap. Much more durable than a built-in lens barrier others want in earlier reviews posted here...if it had a built-in lens barrier, people would complain because it was too easy to damage. Go figure....for the type model this is, they picked the right way to go.
