I've had the D70 for about 4 years and it has served me well. Small and light with a 28mm permanently on the front, it's my take everywhere camera.
Once adjusted for its naturally conservative approach to exposure and slightly aggressive contrast, you can get great images from this camera.
I've rated it relative to the benchmarks of its time - it wouldn't fair so well by todays standards. My D200 has much better image quality, AF and build, but I still like it and use it a lot.
Problems:
"CHR" error which still persists even after a repair by Nikon. I need to put the CF card in and out a few times for the error to go. Guess it will get worse and die with BGLOD one day - but it won't owe me anything.
