. . . and I just manage without the other 1%. I only found this lens because I wanted a used D90, which happened to come with this kit lens. But I am very happy I found it. If I had bought a DSLR with a typical 18-55 mm kit lens, I would have had to buy a second lens immediately and get into lens-changing, which slows me down . . . I always seem to have the wrong lens on.
I love this lens and I do not want the 18-200 mm instead because the 18-105 mm compromise suits me fine. There is always a compromise, and this one is excellent.
