I have had this camera for a couple of weeks (as a replacement for canon G10) and can't decide whether or not to keep it. I am really impressed with the lens on it, and the 'super macro' mode is great. It's a nice looking camera, feels well made and is a convenient size/weight.
I don't find the lack of AEL/AFL button to be a problem (mentioned in reviews), as a half press of the shutter works well enough for me.
My main issue with it is the sluggishness. It's very responsive when taking a photo (minimal delay after pressing shutter button), but from turning on it's about 5 seconds before it's ready to start. I have it set to jpeg and RAW and it takes about 7 seconds to save the picture and during that time you can't display the image by pressing play, which means a wait to tell if the shot is ok. You can continue to shoot more frames though. I find deleting files on-camera to be time consuming too - it takes 3 seconds to delete each one. Perhaps a faster SD card would help, but using a class 4 card on G10 didn't have any issues.
I haven't used video much, but what i have done looks impressive on-camera. However viewing them on computer the focus was drifting in and out.
I also find the screen unusable in bright sunlight. I have had to point and hope for the best. (Optional viewfinder probably recommended, but annoying)
The RAW files don't seem to open in adobe camera raw or lightroom without converting first. Capture One and Aperture are fine though.
Apart from those things it's a fun camera to use, and I will miss the f1.8 lens if I replace it with something else.
