And from a Photojournalist point of view this looks to be an awesome camera. The G1X comparison is kinda Orange VS Apples sin-logic to my ears

Yes, excellent IQ, as expected, w/o AA filter and very good sensor from D7000.
I think price is a bit high, USD700 makes sense for a fixed lens/fixed FL model.

Yes, those samples are quite good, particularly as OOC jpg images.
Coolpix Images look great at 100%
Coolpix A is a excellent camera, features NO OPLF architecture, Images are super sharp even at 100% - Take a look

Yeah it's like comparing a huge, tasty, juicy, delicious, fresh Florida orange that costs 50 cents, to a small, bland-tasting Red Delicious apple that costs $1.

Fail to see your point.... If I like apples the best, why would I buy two oranges for the same price? btw its not a brand thing, more of... I don't think the cameras are in the same category.
