Hello everyone!

We haven't had a Landscape Thread in a while. You can share as many images as you like.

There's no brand restriction - any camera brand or even smart phone images are welcome.

Reply to this post and change subject line for your pictures.

Please change the top line in posting box otherwise things get less convenient for others to follow the thread and you might miss replies and comments!

Let the game begin! :-)

Rick

For her homework in geology/earth sciences we were exploring a bit of the island neither of us had been to.

Above Stanford campus there is a large communication dish antenna where people could go hiking overlooking San Francisco peninsula. Its a four mile paved trail which goes up and around the antenna with hills dotted with California Oak trees.

Coincidentally, I just posted this to the DPR Landscape & Travel Forum. Warning: it's a very ***LARGE*** file!

This is an old favorite of mine from when I shot jpegs on auto and didn't know what an aperture was. Anyway, my trusty ZS3 didn't have PASM modes. All I could do back then was try and compose a shot.

Thomas Cole, of what is now known as the Hudson River School art movement, painted the same view in 1826 from a slightly different angle.

No need to feel intimidated here! And I love how Mother Nature posturized the hills in your beautiful shots. Keep posting!

Definitely enjoyed your shots! We usually see these parks in summer and seldom with snow. That last shot makes me a bit dizzy!

What gorgeous gorgeous pictures Michel!! They are all so beautiful I can't figure out which one I like the best, but I will say the color and detail are fantastic. :P

Rick, beautiful lighting and a spectacular sky! The view from there must have been breathtaking!

Thanks for sharing this.

Cheers

Rick
