Interesting - I have experienced the same fill-flash exposure problems with my NEX-F3 but always figured I was doing something wrong.



Anybody else see these problems on the F3 and/or notice if they were solved with the F3 firmware update? I haven't applied it yet myself but definitely would to fix this.
 
I've had some problems like this with my F3 but I've also heard of people having issues after DLing the latest firmware update. I'll probably hold off until another update is released.

I'm glad to see some attention being given to flash exposure. My 5N wants to dump 100% power on every flash shot. Expsure comp seems to be the only way to get anything resembiling proper fill exposure.

Maybe Sony finally decided to use the Minolta settings for fill flash. My old Minolta F100 had a perfect fill flash but have noticed with my Sony cameras over the last 5 years or so the fill flash was consistently overexposing my photos. I haven't tried fill flash on my NEX-7 but will definitely give it a try now.
 
I noticed the fill flash improvement in my NEX-6 with the fw update as well.
