Are There Uploading Problems This Morning?

Hello!

I am trying to submit a reply to a thread over in the Nikon D7000 forum which includes some photos I am using for an example. After messing around with it all morning, I still can't get the photos to upload. All I get is a screen which says, 'Inserting Image' with a button to cancel it. The progress indicator just keeps going round and round and will do so for hours if I let it. The 'cancel' button does not work... the only recourse then is to leave the page and lose your whole post. I've saved my text to a Word file so at least I will not lose all my efforts, but I am just wondering... does anyone else have this problem, and if so, are there steps you take to correct it?

By the time I get upload my two cents, the thread will have run its course and no one will care about it anymore! ;-)

Yes, exactly the same here. Photo downloads from computer into a post. No way. I have managed it by download to gallery, then into a post. Not the way I want to do it.

My comp system is relatively new but well tested. I recently went from IE9 to 10 and my OS is Win. 7 SP 1 and always updated. I use C-Cleaner regularly. I tried Chrome recently and in the past Firefox. Didn't like either. What else can one do but live with it? No other quibbles with the site except the 'smileys' don't work. I can live with that.

Yes, I have the same problems since yesterday.

I tried several times to upload an image (a quite small jpg) in the Retouching forum. Usually the process is fast and simple, but after trying several times yesterday I had to give up. Maybe there are some problems with the servers.

The blue profile box which is usually on my right with login, recent activity, PM and bookmark info disappears when going from forum to forum.........just started acting up earlier today

Ok, a temporary pain in the butt maybe. At least I know now it is not just me! I did describe the problem to the feedback page, so I suppose eventually they will see it. Just keep trying I suppose! Thanks folks for responding! I think I will see if I can download into my gallery and then into the post... can't hurt to try! -- Greg

True. I just noticed that. The blue box is there in the main page, but disappears when browsing the forums. Strange indeed.

.......that at least it's not on my end........hopefully it'll get worked out

Oh? Must be your lucky day. Even with a reduced size image the pop up shows "insert image to post" The clock goes round and the message indicates "inserting image" but nothing happens. The 'cancel' icon will not respond, only a site shutdown allows one to back out. Also the 'smiley' icon goes only to the head end and worse to the quoted message head end. Been so for weeks. ???!!!

Sorry to hear, DonA2. Don't know why it suddenly worked for me then not for you. Good luck. Sure sounds buggy at best, huh?
