Emma is a very cute and animated 4-year old lady. I could not pick the best pose from this session, so I choose the 6 best. Some of the wilder poses would not have worked alone, but as part of a group, they work well. The parents LOVE the arrangement.

I arranged and sized this image so that 2 images will fit on an 8x10 or 16x20, thus getting 2 prints for the price of one.

The idea for this arrangement originated from this forum, thus it is returned to be passed on.

Comments and critiques are welcome.

some inspiration to try something a little different. I've seen this before, but you are the one that has suddenly moved me.

Thanks for sharing.

Generally the photos are quite nice

I would have prefered to see her height stay constant across the scene..

as well i am not sure if i wouldnt have had her in shoes perhaps the wilder clunky runners kids wear these days..

Thanks

The difference in height is because she moved forward or backward in the scene. I did adjust the size in one of the images, but the others were not adjusted. I think you are right; I should have adjusted the size of each image to compensate for her distance from the lens.

Yes, that might have looked good.

Hi Sam,
I like the different heights! Bare feet work too. Different strokes......

Good work,

Sam,

Nice fun shots.....

I notice that your studio set up is just the way I want to set up mine in the next few months.

What do you use as a floor ? And how do you get the nice smooth transition from foreground (floor) to backdrop/background ?

Thanks
Rich.

Hi Rich,

Here is a photo of my setup with my model "Wilson" standing in for Emma. The white background is Savage (brand) white seamless paper, 9 feet wide, that is spooled to the floor and extended about 6 feet forward. The front edge of the white area is a 4 foot x 8 foot panel of white "bathroom board" that I picked up at my local lumber yard. The bathroom board provides a semi-glosss surface that is easily cleanable.

This setup was critiqued in an earlier thread that you may wish to visit:

If you have any questions, please ask.
