Let me be the first one to comment on your pictures, and to say that lady on one of your photographs looks hot :-P

(I hope you're not related to her, if you are then I'm sorry)

CC posted in a FRIENDLY way (usually CC is not accepted on the forum):

1. what is it? of the four this one says delete to me.

2. good shot but almost too gritty/grainy for my taste.

3. best of the bunch but the lower left corner distracting.

4. okay shot.

Just my take.

Good luck and hope you post more.

I think the issues is, there was a lot of post-processing done on the photos, so it's hard to judge the camera.

1. Looks ok, but confusing

2. Looks a bit over-sharpened

3. Reminds me of Instagram

4. I like the contrast it's just right.

Thank you for the comments:)

1. Reflection in the window of the lamps and lights shop. I like how the entire window disappear and only modern lamp projecting on reflection of the house on the other side of the street.

2. The entire idea was simulating b/w film effect:)

3. This was very quick street photo — traffic light changed for green and I had no time to recompose. The left bottom corner is not ideal, but give a perspective feel, for me.

I hope you wont mind me playing a little with your third shot (my favorite). I only removed the distracting object.

Kind regards.

Thank you, Martin. But I didn't cropped this image this way with the reason. For my taste composition is much more static now, and frame is too tight.

Hello Tom, In my case I was providing CC for the images and not the camera.

Hi Martin, I think you and I agree. I prefer what you have done with it. I think the object in the lower left is distracting because the viewer can't tell what it is. To me she is the subject. Good job because you have taken a good shot and improved it.

Nobody is right or wrong of course but one thing is certain...ask for CC and all kinds of takes will come up.

Markintosh,

Not sure I follow your reply to Martin...it looks like all Martin do was remove the object on the lower left corner, the framing seems to have been left just like you had it in your origiunal post. Maybe I am missing something. Cheers

Who knows? Seems that there are other priorities...

Anyway, I like you photo #4, I think it is a good use of B&W. The other three do nothing for me.
