I just bought a Canon S400 and want to protect the LCD. I have read various articles on various screen protectors from Fellows to PurpleMoo to modified screen protectors for PDAs.

My question is which one is the best. What I'm looking for is

1. No sticky glue/residue left behind on the LCD after I remove the protector.

2. No air bubbles after the protector is applied

3. Min. glare / Max. Visibility

I know this what everyone wants in screen protector, but I wanted to get people's option who do have screen protector and what they think is the best one.

Some people say PurpleMoo is the best.... some people say Fellow's screen protector is the best... other say PDA's screen protectors are the best.

So which is it? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your inputs!

I use PDA protector film from fellows. Namely the sony peg-N710C ones Fellows #98097.

protector.
nope none left from one change to another.
2. No air bubbles after the protector is applied
Do a good job of putting it on. I've gotten good enough that it looks like it went on at the factory.
3. Min. glare / Max. Visibility
make sure that you are getting protectors for COLOR pda's the films for monocrome display has a texture that will make you screen had to see.

Pluse the fact that there is enough on one sheet to all 3 displays on my S2

The trick is to have very clean non-greasy fingers or tweezer. Use a stiff cardboard or edge of a credit card and push the plastic coating slowly across the edge. It takes a bit of a knack and is better is you do it very slowly.

i would rather have an occasional, non-permanent bubble than a permanent scratch..

I got some great ones from B&H. Hoodman Hoodskins and they come in sizes. I have also used Da as well. You can even put then on your top readout if you have one.

Here's a question?

Before I apply the LCD protector... what should I use to clean the lcd. Plain water... or windex..? Remember it has a anti glare coating so I don't want to use something harsh that will that that off. I've got quite a few check smuges on the LCD right now and I want to clean them before applying the screen protector.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
