Hey folks,

I'm taking a RX100 for a spin and fully expecting to keep it, however I am in the return period.

I've noticed that when I'm reviewing photos and cycling through the display options that when I'm in the display mode showing RGB levels and the actual picture is in the top left quarter of the screen that areas of brightness and lightness flicker. Is that normal and an indication of clipping?

Just want to make sure that it is not abnormal, if it is I need to return it and swap if for another one.

Thanks in advance and expect to hear a lot more questions from me as I learn my new camera. I've always been a Canon guy and just hope I didn't make a mistake in being an early buyer and then regretting the purchase when Canon comes out with a similar camera.

Mine flickers also so I believe this is normal.

Your assumption is correct, it is exactly that... Showing highlight clipping ,so your camera is fine ( at least in this aspect )
