The ULTIMATE Bag For X100 & X Series!

Billingham Hadley Pro is my choice, takes X100, X-Pro1, 2-3 lenses, filters, chargers, batteries and also my MBA 13" with power adaptor and can also take my iPad

The TTP bags are great - very solid, well built and well thought out - but too much bag for many mirrorless cameras. Overbuilt, if you will. Really designed for working day to day photographers who need more durability.

One thing I really appreciate the TTP bags is the ability to shut the velcro up.

Domke are great bags, but for mirrorless cameras I prefer the Bare Bones Bag, which is even simpler and has just enough padding.

I have a LowePro Passport Sling and I have carried it around Europe and multiple National Parks here at home with a D5000.

I recently switched to X100 and having carried it around a few times I think it's perfect for the X100.

I am shooting a lot in churches and museums. The velcro "ripping" sound is really pronounced there, so I chose the Billingham bag.

I chose the Billingham as well. Great bag, but you could just put some gaffer tape over the velcro on the Domke and that would probably work.

I have it for my x-e1 and it's perfect: small but plenty of room with the 18-55mm and lens hood, 3 batteries, sdhc card box, box of condoms...

I got even room enough for my old lumix compact,

I also bought it also because de possibility to put it on your belt (I like it when I go to a bar or a restaurant)

I tried the F-5XB and a few others out in BH but didn't really like the zippers on top for access to the camera. I went with the much more solid(and a little more pricy) Domke F8... it's super important for me to be able to easily and quickly get to my camera in a non-fiddley manner.

A decent camera that is with me always, is much better than precision tool that I leave at home.

Domke looks (and reads) as just slightly smaller than my Billingham 335 ... which takes loads of gear. Thought the idea of mirrorless in general, X100 in particular was camera in hand (or around neck) with spare batteries in pocket.

Carrying a host of gear - including laptops, etc. seems to defeat the concept of lightweight travel ...

Nah, for me you're missing the point. If I'm just shooting around town I'll just have the X100 in the half case thrown over my shoulder. If I'm travelling or away even for the whole day, like it or not, I'm going to have to have with me more than just the camera. To that end I want a small case with enough space for the camera and usual bits and pieces plus wallet, phone, keys etc.. so I can have it all in one little bag. That's the point of this bag for me.

Here's the Domke F-8 with a few things and some room to spare. You can see the difference in accessibility compared to the other zipper top cases. It's a brilliant case. I pretty much take it with me everywhere. I usually keep just the camera and a spare battery in the bag, leaving space for other nicknacks that I want with me...i.e. sunglasses, wallet, chap-stick, ((tampons & ibuprofen for my wife when she needs them)), a bag of chips, you name it... ok so I have a man purse now laugh away(just quietly, I've always wanted a man purse). The important thing is that it's small enough and light enough that I actually take me camera with me all the time.

Agreed. This is what I use as well. I can even carry my Siriu CF travel tripod in the bag for a completely portable landscape rig that weighs less than my D800!
