I just picked up this camera, but have a question about the back buttons on the left side of the screen. All three, but particularly the top "drive" button makes a loud clicking noise when I use it to zoom in when reviewing the photos. It this normal or is this a flaw? Never had this occur with another camera.

Does it happen if you remove the lens or swap it for another?
I only have one lens - the 35mm. I have all updated firmware as well. I did call a local camera store and they tried out their model and they stated the button do have a little clicking or "crisp sound" to them when pushed. So maybe it is OK. That aside, the camera functions beautifully. I have the X100 and those buttons are made differently than the ones on the XP1 (rounded buttons as opposed to flattish tabs). I love the X100 but the XP1 is just a joy to use.

Exchange it for a new one.
My first 2 X-E1 were both defective. The 3rd is fine. Fuji has poor quality control.

Well just a little update - my replacement arrived today and is already boxed up ready to be returned. They sent me an obviously used item. The box outside, the boxes inside, the wrappings were all beat up and the camera had flecks or debris on the outside. Really disappointed. For years I have always gotten my camera equipment from amazon, but have had terrible luck these past few weeks with them. Will not keep the camera or the lens. Will look elsewhere to purchase.
