The Weekly 4/3 DSLR Images 12 12 17

Like the light and the scene. Nicely captured. In the distance, there seems to be a dark line running across the image. Any idea what that is? Also looked like cattle past that line.

Thanks for contributing,

Early morning wooden boat ride. Not the best of lighting, but trying to capture the misty mood of the early morning sunrise.

The saxophone is a very interesting machine, but I'm more interested in music.

Love the bold processing. Also the reflection on the bowl.

Nice composition and those drops are fantastic.

I thought this would be more powerful if there was a ball flying into the net.

Excellent capture. The birds expression is fantastic.

I like the contrast in colours on the 2nd shot.

Love the composition and the various colourings. It makes the eyes roll and dance.

I can feel the dreamy quality from that little touch of shake.

BTW, I have plenty of rejected shots of birds too ashamed to show.

Thanks for looking and C&C Dave.

Agree with your comments, it was PP using unfamiliar monitor (laptop).

Here it is again, this time exp reduced but I needed to re-touch the bird as it lost too much detail.
Also a re-crop to remove the tree on RH side.

I love both shots Larry.

Hues in the first shot are magic.

The 2nd shot forces a double-take due to the momentary illusion of contradicting scales.
Immediate impression is of a full-sized truck, and then I see the leaves. great !

Thanks for looking Jakop.

we all have our bad shots. I find it much easier if I just delete a shot straight away in the camera. Seems that once I have it at home on my PC I'm more reluctant to hit the delete key - thinking that it can somehow be 'saved' and all it ends up being a wasted disk space.

I followed Dave's suggestion and re-worked this one.

Nice cloud structure in the sky. For me, I would crop away the structure on the right of the image, leaving the backboard, hoop, and the sky.

Thanks for contributing,

Oh yeah....Maxi will probably be happy for the next couple of months. E30 + 50mm ZD is one of my fav combos.......

Sorry about the size. I have just always been a bit nervous after the issue I had with someone stealing a few of my images a bit ago. Ever since, I keep 'em small.
