LX7 Aperture bracket and self timer at the same time?

I recently got an LX7 (previously owned an LX5) and I'm enjoying the fast lens a this compact camera a lot - the two main reasons I chose this model. But I've run into a problem with the controls I can't believe is intentional. The lower button under the center "Set" button offers the choice of "Single", "Burst", "Auto Bracket", or "Self Timer". It appears that you get to choose only one of these. I often Auto Bracket to increase the dynamic range and combine the photos in post. It's important that the camera be steady for the three shots so on the LX5 I would typically use a tripod and the 2s self timer to avoid adding trigger jitter from my finger. On the LX7 I have not been able to do this.

Has any one else run into this or have a work-around?

Thanks for the link. I searched for quite a while before posting because someone must have run into this. I can't imagine what they were thinking when they did this.

They probably weren't thinking anything. I'm surprised you can't access the time and auto-bracket settings through the main menu system - but as far as I can see, you can't.

Seeing into the same annoyance on my new LX7. Can't believe this. Almost a deal breaker for me.

The build in HDR is a nice bonus, but has no control at all (ISO, EV etc). How can we consider that as a replacement? No way. This is a big miss for me.

It's definitely a deliberate design decision because the GX1 operates in the exact same manner with the same menu layout. The difference is that the GX1 has the option of a remote shutter release which the LX7 doesn't have.

The Creative Control mode offers 16 artistic effects, there is also the option to record using Time Lapse Shot.
Perhaps there is an IQ test in there to see if you can set a short time lapse alongside Auto Bracketing?
Tell me as I almost bought an LX-7 yrsterday &:I would love to know!
