My 06 Tele Zoom lens for my Q arrived a few minutes ago and, woooooooo hooooooooo, I likes it ... pics to follow :)

Cheers,

Jack

first 3 pics are from the 02 Wide Zoom and lens, the last 3 pics are from the 06 Tele Lens

from 02 lens

from 02 lens

02 Wide at the 15/80 end

06 Tele lens at 45/243 end

06 Tele lens at 45/243//2.68 (small file)

Big File

All shots, except the last, have been resized to 800 x 533 and nothing else .... the second shot looks a bit 'iffy' because my lens was mucky :)

Cheers,

Jack

Congrats! and Happy Shooting!

I am still working on completing my lens collection for my K-5/K100D Super. Debate over the 10-17 or 12-24 or such wide angles.

But is anyone really ever done?

Thanks David :)

I had the 12-24/4 for a number of years -- great lens and used the 10-17 on a few occasions (Stanley Cup riot .. 2011) and another great lens. Also, used the Tamron 10-24 and, again, a great lens and, probably the one I would go for now simply because, in Canada, the 12-24 has been priced far too high :)

Nope :D

Jack

Thanks Jack, Looking forward to seeing more 06 photos and hearing how you like it.
no problemo Geoff .... just waiting for the deluge to stop .... next days off are Sunday/Monday and, weather willing, I'll try shoot some football (soccer) and see how those turn out :) and, of course, some cr@p from the streets :D ........ cr@p = subject matter (wink emoticon)

Cheers,

Jack

Regards, Geoff.

So tempted, but really want something in the 100mm range for the Q.

I might... although I think I'll grad the fisheye first.

Hi Justin,

Well, the Fisheye is less expensive and lot of fun :D Although, even though I've only had a 06 Tele lens for 24 hours, I am having fun with it and, if the rain ever stops, I can't imagine what (mental/emotional) state I'll be in ;D

Cheers, have fun and good shooting ....... regardless of which lens you get next :)

Hi Jack:

Congratulations. Is this from a US supplier as I haven't seen them listed in Canada yet?

Thanks Dale and, nope, I got it direct from Pentax-Ricoh Canada :-) It arrived Thursday November 28th and I received the call that it had arrived about a week (or so) earlier ... the hood is coming later ;)

Cheers,

Jack
