How do you carry your XF1?

I have a small bag on order: Tamrac 3821 Neo's Digital 21 Camera Bag (Red). That might work. What other options are there for when you don't have a jacket and don't want to just carry it in your hand or use the hand-strap Does the form fitted case have a belt attachment? At $70 i don't think I'll get that even if it would work well. $70 seems excessively over priced to me, not the normal overpriced things usually are. :-)

The case does have a belt attachment. For some reason, it is much cheaper here in China. I got the Case, battery, and an 8 gig SD card for $35.

If I didnt have the case I'd just put it in my pocket.

I'll preface my answer in that I do not own an XF1 yet (but do have an X10, X100 and X-S1 and have used some very small compacts in the past of similar size to the XF1). I'm not a user of cases, protective covers, bags, etc. I rarely keep lens caps on (although I do use a filter on my X100 / X10), I like my cameras ready to fire (sans bag, case, cap, etc.). I don't use a case on my iPhone(s) currently and have rarely since the original. I don't put my iPad in a case, portfolio, or other similar things. I consider all of these tools. Especially cameras. I don't want to be my grandmother who bought a nice leather sofa and then covered it with a cheap plastic cover to "protect" it - and never know how the leather actually feels and was intended to be used. Sorry, rant is over.

That camera (XF1) is so slim and light, I'd just put it in ANY pocket (except a shirt pocket). Seriously, it's small enough for most. Keep in ready to shoot at a moments notice.

I got the Fuji case for my wife as it will protect it from getting scratched in her purse. I'd be a little concerned with dust getting on the sensor from being in a pocket -- that extending lens has potential to suck dust into the camera and unlike DSLR, no way to clean sensor yourself.

I don't have XF1 but would use a soft bag with drawstring (I am just going out to get one for my X10) It will keep the dust out and stop scratches when thrown in a bag but not add bulk if you want to put it in a pocket (X10 is a bit big but I'll try)

cheers

Just got this bag in: Tamrac 3821 It's absolutely perfect for XF1 plus one battery, belt or strap.

Also just got this charger in and love it. Charges 2 Fuji NP-50s and shows the charge level, comes with ac plug and car adapter: Pearstone battery charger
