CIC 81: Morning

Images must be taken between midnight and midday. Ideally the subject matter will also suggest morning, but that is not mandatory.

RULES:

The Eligible Gallery: is for images captured with any camera, any brand during the Challenge period. All other rules outlined in the Official Challenge FAQ apply.

The Exhibition Gallery: is for images taken any time with any camera.

Enter a maximum of three pictures per person in each gallery for a combined total of 6 per challenge.

Please remember the 300kb (= 307,200 bytes) limit. Raised from 200kb a while back

Challenge Ends: Tuesday, December 4th, 2012 23:59 UTC

Voting Begins: Wednesday, December 5th, 2012 00:00 UTC
Voting Ends: Thursday, December 6th, 2012 23:59 UTC
If you are new and do not know the user id and password, please send an email to passes(--at--)imageattic.net Please replace(--at--) with @ in the email address before you send it out. One of the challenge administrators will contact you with that information, but please be patient.

if you forgot to reset the clock on your camera and the exif shows a pm time. If it's in the challenge, I'll assume it's a morning shot.

Congrats mr. Kilpatrick and ms gallo! Two great winning shots!

as I mentioned to gerri, I doubt I have seen early morning light in many a year so may have to sit out eligible this time.

As Jim said, Shu, anything before midday is ok, so unless your lifestyle is exceptionally decadent, it should be possible to do something. I hope you can.

No problem, my pleasure.

The one thing I keep missing is how to set the account portrait. Have deleted the old one, it says it can be reset in the edit screen, but I can never seem to find it. I'll have to re-read the set-up guide and see if it's in there.

I stumbled on this a couple of challenges ago. I'll also go looking again.
 
It's done from the edit screen of the image you want to set as the account portrait - just below the thumbnail "click here to make this image your profile page portrait".

Thanks Michael, that explains it. I never go into the winning image to edit, I change the titles and sequence from the gallery screen. Now I'll just have to try extra hard to get another chance to practice gallery setup!

I made the effort yesterday and let my girlfriend drag me to a Temple for a festival at, 10am. A cursory glance through the images shows I should have stayed in bed. I should get around to processing them later today, who knows maybe something decent is lurking in there.
