hello friends,

first of thank you all for encouraging me to learn few things about photo editing through your tips, and useful links about it,

here in this image i tried to change the sky but the transition doesn't looks smooth around the edges of the tree, and looks artificial perhaps, i have also tried the reflection of the sky in the water here is the image...

I used Vertus for an extraction, then Corel for finishing touches, also, as you did, added ripples to the foreground.

thanks,,thanks a lot for fantastic efforts..you all have done..tree and original background made my task difficult, but you all did the marvelous job ..hope i will learn something..thanks ...Again..and salute to all...

I played with your version, thinking that I might be able to give you a few ideas.

I corrected the darker vignette using curves (the Paint With Light action would be great here too); painted (in colour mode) and cloned over any of the brighter and fringed portions of the trees on the horizon; selected the sky with a feathered selection tool (fine tuned in quick mask mode); copied the sky to a new layer and saved the selection to an alpha channel; inverted it and moved it down to the water; did the same with the shoreline and trees. With all of these on their own layers, each could be masked, warped, blended, etc to suit. I then added some wave texture to the water with Flaming Pear's Flood filter and finally, used curves and blending modes to add contrast, enhance the colours, etc.

Cheers.

I used to wonder what it'd be like to read other people's minds. Then I got a Facebook account, and now I'm over it.
