New Leica M sample pictures!!

Yes they look pretty bad, but you can take bad pictures with any camera.

Let's wait a tad longer.
 
Well, these photos do answer at least one question: Are the focus peaking and live view functions good enough that everybody can now focus a Leica fairly accurately?

Answer: No.

Well, my M 240 works fine, focusssing is perfect, no reason to worry ! The test cameras have no "M" on the body !

Yup - seems like you are right - they obviously had too much drinks - according to their focusing abilities.

Just like the M9-P, I would pay extra to remove the advertising : the M and large red-dot.

Hi Dr Rohde,

Are you suggesting that they are fake? You can see the battery in page 3. Is it the same as the battery you have on your test M?

When will you be able to post some samples?

Using the Noctilux, I'm not surprised - paper-thin DOF.
I'll wait until I see some new M photos shot with a 35 or 50 cron. I really hate the Noctilux's rendering. I have to commend them though - usually the bokeh of that lens is awful but it's not too bad in those pictures...still jaggy and nervous though. :(
 
I took a peak at them yesterday, but can't get at them today

Also I got an new M240 today and need to find out what changed. It should mature soon.

As I have both the M9 and the M240, I can make a fair analysis.

A picture is worth 1000 words they say...Can you show us your shots? Hard to believe anything other than what we can see.
